Last Updated: September 2026
Covalent Clinical Research (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who visit our website, submit interest forms, or engage with our clinical research services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and safeguard your information in accordance with applicable federal and state laws, including HIPAA where relevant. By using our website or submitting information through our online forms, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
We collect information in several ways. When you submit an interest form or contact us, you may provide personal details such as your name, email address, phone number, city and state, and any optional information you choose to share. If you voluntarily include health‑related details, this information may be considered Protected Health Information (PHI) under HIPAA. PHI may include information about your medical conditions, medications, symptoms, treatment history, or potential participation in clinical research.
We also automatically collect limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and general analytics data. This automatically collected information does not include PHI.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiries, determine potential eligibility for clinical studies, communicate with you about research opportunities, support clinical operations, and maintain regulatory compliance. We may also use information to improve our website and enhance user experience. Covalent Clinical Research does not sell personal information or PHI, and we do not use PHI for marketing purposes.
How We Share Information
We may disclose personal information or PHI only when necessary to support clinical research activities. This may include sharing information with clinical investigators, research staff, Institutional Review Boards (IRBs), regulatory agencies such as the FDA, sponsors or CROs involved in study oversight, and technology providers who support secure website operations. We may also share information with healthcare providers when appropriate. We do not disclose PHI for non‑research or marketing purposes.
Information Security
Covalent Clinical Research uses administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information and PHI. These measures include secure servers, encryption, access controls, firewalls, staff training, and regular monitoring. While no system is completely secure, we take reasonable and appropriate steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
Your Choices and Rights
You may choose to limit the information you provide, disable cookies through your browser, or request deletion of non‑regulated personal information. You may also exercise your privacy rights, which may include requesting access to your information, requesting corrections, requesting deletion (unless restricted by clinical research regulations), requesting restrictions on use or disclosure, requesting confidential communications, or requesting an accounting of disclosures for PHI.
To exercise these rights, you may contact us at admin@covalentclinicalresearch.com.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website may use cookies and analytics tools to improve user experience, analyze website performance, and understand visitor behavior. Cookies do not collect PHI. You may disable cookies through your browser settings if you prefer.
Retention of Information
We retain personal information and PHI only as long as necessary to respond to inquiries, conduct clinical research activities, or meet regulatory requirements. Clinical research regulations may require secure archiving of certain information for extended periods.
Children’s Privacy
This website is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent.
Third‑Party Websites
Our website may contain links to third‑party websites. Covalent is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or security measures of external sites, and accessing them is at your own risk.
Use of Third‑Party Training Platforms
Covalent Clinical Research may share limited personal information with third‑party training platforms such as Skilltriks to facilitate investigator onboarding, account creation, and training verification. Information shared with Skilltriks is restricted to what is necessary for training access and compliance, such as your name, email address, role, and training requirements. Skilltriks maintains its own Privacy Policy and data protection standards, and Covalent Clinical Research is not responsible for the platform’s independent data practices.
We encourage investigators to review Skilltriks’ Privacy Policy when accessing the system. Covalent does not transmit Protected Health Information (PHI) to Skilltriks, and Skilltriks is not used for clinical data entry, participant information, or regulatory document storage.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The “Last Updated” date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our website indicates acceptance of any updated terms.
